Young Engineers Challenge at JEC World 2025

For the Young Engineer’s Challenge, 3 talented teams of young engineers have been selected to show how they could improve a component’s present sustainability by proposing a route to reduce its environmental impact. The culmination of their hard work has been showcased at the final event on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, on the Open Stage at JEC World 25 Paris. Each team had 15 minutes to present their project. The teams selected to participate in this exciting challenge are:

  • “Multi-material Additive Manufacturing of Recycled Short-fiber reinforced Thermoplastic Sandwich Panels: A Sustainable Approach” by Negar AGHIGH, Ghita EL ANBRI, and Etienne LECLERC from Canada
  • “Recycling from the Base to the Top” by Eduardo GONZALO, Irene CHICHON, and Alberto PEREZ from Spain
  • “Press to Impress – Where Pressure Makes Perfection” by Jason MCCABE, John MCCAUGHEY, Reuben NEWELL and Catherine STEWART from the UK
