SAMPE Europe and AEMAC sign a collaboration agreement

JEC World 2025 in Paris was the international event chosen by AEMAC and SAMPE Europe to sign the collaboration agreement between the two entities present in Spain.

The agreement, by which SAMPE Europe and AEMAC commit, from this moment forward, to support each other in dissemination activities to promote their events between the two expert communities in composite materials, was signed at the Pabellón ESPAÑA VI during the “Vino Español” reception between Prof. Conchúr Ó Brádaigh, President of SAMPE Europe, and Rafael Izquierdo, President of AEMAC. JEC Composites Group was present as a witness to this important moment for both entities, whose main objective is to encourage the proper use of composite materials and promote their knowledge and relationships among all the actors in the value chain.

This agreement particularly benefits SAMPE Europe members and AEMAC Associates, who will enjoy all applicable discounts and special conditions for each of the events organized by the other entity for their members and/or associates. The first major event where these conditions will apply will be MATCOMP25, which will take place in Barcelona from July 8-10, 2025.

About SAMPE & AEMAC

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) is an organization dedicated to promoting technical excellence in materials and process engineering, with around 15,000 engineers, technologists, and materials scientists. It was founded in 1944 by aerospace engineers in California with the goal of creating a professional network and improving the exchange of technical information. In Europe, it is active in over 25 countries, organized in national associations such as in France, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Italy, Finland, Ukraine, and also in international groups like Benelux, UK & Ireland, and the Iberian Peninsula.

The Spanish Composite Materials Association (AEMAC) was founded in 1993 and is a non-profit organization. It is composed of various stakeholders involved in the development of composite materials: universities, technological and research centers, companies and SMEs, professionals, and students. Its mission is to serve as an interaction platform between the scientific, technical, and business communities for the transfer of technology and knowledge management, promoting communication and dissemination of activities, fostering specialized training, and representing the Spanish composite materials community in international forums.
