Innovative Frontiers in Advanced Manufacturing
About the Challenge
The SAMPE Global Emerging Engineers Challenge invites the brightest early-career engineers and researchers from around the world to push the boundaries of materials and manufacturing.
This year’s theme: “Innovative Frontiers in Advanced Manufacturing,” challenges teams to demonstrate how they can improve a chosen component’s manufacturing process using innovative approaches such as advanced materials, robotics, data analytics, or machine learning.
Compete for international recognition, a cash prize, and the opportunity to present live on the SAMPE Stage at JEC World in Paris (March 11, 2026), one of the world’s premier events for composites and advanced materials.
Competition Format
Form a team of up to 4 people and show how you would improve the component’s manufacturing of your choice using novel techniques such as materials science, robotics, data analytics, or machine learning.
Entries will consist of a 2-minute video outlining your proposal. The best teams will be selected and paired with an impartial SAMPE mentor to go forward to a live final at JEC World 2026.
The competition is open globally to all young engineers within 10 years of completing an undergraduate degree.
